Battle of the Bands

Battle of the Bands 2026 is a music talent competition organized by Mall of Travancore to discover, support, and promote emerging

musical talent from across Kerala. The event provides a platform for college bands,

independent bands, and amateur music groups to showcase their talent before a

live audience and a panel of industry professionals. Participants will compete

through live performances, with shortlisted bands advancing to the final

rounds.

Apart from exciting cash prizes, the competition offers valuable exposure, networking opportunities, and the chance to perform at one of Kerala's leading lifestyle and entertainment destinations.

Registration Fee : ₹2,000 per band (Non-Refundable)

The registration fee covers the screening and event management process. All registered bands will be considered for the shortlisting round upon successful submission of the registration form and payment.

Eligibility

The competition is open to:

• College Bands

• Upcoming Bands

• Independent Bands

• Amateur and Semi-Professional Bands

Only 10 bands will be shortlisted and selected to perform in the competition.

Competition Schedule

Preliminary Rounds: 3rd & 4th July 2026

Grand Finale: 5th July 2026

Judging Criteria

Participating bands will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on:

• Musical Performance and Technical Skills

• Vocal Quality and Instrumental Excellence

• Creativity and Originality

• Stage Presence and Audience Engagement

• Coordination and Teamwork

• Overall Presentation and Performance Impact

The judges' decision will be final and binding.

Rules & Regulations

• Each band can have a maximum of 8 members.

• Bands must perform live.

• Participants must report to the venue at least 1 hour before their scheduled

performance.

• Performance content must not contain offensive, abusive, or inappropriate

material.

• Registration does not guarantee participation in the event.

• Only shortlisted bands will be contacted and invited to perform.

• The organizers reserve the right to modify the event schedule or rules if

required.

Prizes

Winner – ₹25,000

First Runner-Up – ₹15,000

Second Runner-Up – ₹10,000
